Time Well Wasted

I was listening to a song this week and it really hit me because we were watching Emma and Sophie on and off while JT and Kori were gone and I hated that I had to be at work for a lot of the time they were at the house. The lyrics are especially appropriate since they'll be leaving for Colorado soon. I've had these lyrics running through my head all week so I decided to do a post with them. What really matters?

"There's no way I'd trade a few more d
ollars in my pocket that I could've spent for a day I'll never forget. And no I didn't get a thing done but
I sure soaked up every minute of the memory we were making. And I count it all as time well wasted."

Babysitting!

Since JT & Kori are in Colorado we have taken turns with Kori's family watching the girlies. Yesterday we had them most of the day until Bri came and got them in the evening. It was lots of fun as usual. We went to Wendy's after church and first we had to wait so long for our fries that we were given two free frosty's. These came in handy as Dad forgot to order Emma her food! I gave her a few bites while we waited for her kids meal because she was getting really impatient and our food hadn't come yet! Sorry Kori!!! But we eventually got everyone's food and she did a great job finishing her meal despite the few bites of ice cream ahead of time!!

These fun glasses were the toy in her kids meal. At first she wouldn't put them on but wanted everyone else to wear them and then she would laugh. We finally convinced her after swimming to put them on so we could send a picture message to her mom and dad.

After we got home from lunch Emma and I went swimming in her pool. Actually I didn't swim I just sat because it's too small for Aunt Rhiannon! But we had a great time despite that! I kept telling Emma all through
church and lunch that if she was good we would go swimming and I think that helped motivate her to behave! Even though we will be glad to have JT and Kori back home we are having fun spending all this time with the girls. I'll have to get some pictures of Sophie on here later. She wasn't cooperating for picture-taking yesterday! Tonight is our church's first night of Bible School. I think Emma will really enjoy it and I'm hoping to get some more good pictures tonight.

More "field" trip pictures!

Here are a few more pictures from one of my days in the fields. I love seeing all the old farm equipment. This dirt road with the bridge is one of my favorite places to drive.
